Tree Surgery

Although our main focus is planting Street Tree Ltd have been approved contractors with the Arboricultural Association for 4 years.

Our small team of climbers are capable of dismantling and pruning mature trees to formative pruning and crown lifting of small medium trees.

Being Arb Approved means that we meet the full requirements with regards to proficiency and certification.

All climbers have a minimum of ariel rescue and ariel pruning and rigging operations. Our climbing equipment is rigorously tested through LOLER regulations and systems are in place to ensure all Risk assessments and method statements to strictly adhered to.

Dual Line Working

As we expect the completed guidance from the ‘Arb Association’ STC are beginning to prepare and train for dual line working or two rope access. In the AA’s revised Industry code of practice draft it states,

When a proficient operator is using personal fall protection systems for tree climbing,
it is expected that there will be a backup system to prevent them falling a distance that is likely to cause injury if the primary system (including the main line, components or anchor) were to fail. The backup should be attached to an independent anchor where possible. If there is no suitable independent anchor, it should be installed over a shared anchor. A backup, in addition to the climber’s primary system, may provide additional stability and reduce risk associated with pendulum swings.
